Translations

I translate texts from English, French and Danish into Dutch. The texts vary from press releases to the automotive branch and from sports and arts to general medical and general legal texts. I work for both translation agencies and companies in the Netherlands and abroad. To name a few:

Peugeot-Citroën, Medtronic, DSM, Lonely Planet, IsaTranslations in Maastricht, Andovar in Singapore, Abanico in Slovakia

Text editing, proofreading

I check translations for translation agencies. This is common practice: two translators see more than just one.

Subtitling

I subtitle series for a number of channels: Fox, History Channel, NBC, Shorts TV. With the ever increasing market for video on demand, subtitling will form an important part of my translation work in the foreseeable future.

Contacts with foreign customers

I can help companies in their foreign contacts by making telephone calls, writing letters etc. If necessary, I work as an interpreter, when it is absolutely crucial that two parties understand each other correctly.

Nina Bekker about Nina Bekker

After my bachelor degree in translations, I worked for national and international companies for more than 20 years. Throughout the years I gained experience in a variety of tasks, ranging from translating to organizing field trips for French military personnel and from updating customer relation files to treating complaints from European campsite owners.

Since November 2010, I combine all these experiences in my company Bekker Language Support and Secretarial Services.
